Saints Row 3 is the third standalone game in the series and is expected to be released in the 2012 financial year. While nothing of the game’s content has been revealed yet, it will utilise major upgrades that Volition have conducted on their game engine, and will take the series in a “new direction” according to Volition associate producer Dan Sutton in a 2008 interview. He said that “in Saints Row 2 we tie-up a lot of loose ends. I think we tie it up deliberately. We’ve already started work on Saints Row 3, and we have a new direction we want to go in with that which we of course can’t talk about. We wrap up a lot in this one. There’s no frustration”. Due to poor financial performance, Volition fired over eighty of its employees which might have contributed to delays in Saints Row 3′s development.
THQ vice president Danny Bilson revealed that the game would make its debut at E3 2010 in a December 2009 interview, promising it to be “mind-blowing”. At THQ’s fiscal third quarter conference in February 2010, CEO Brian Farrell announced that the game was expected to be released during the 2012 financial year; between April 2011 and April 2012. The marketing process for Saints Row 3 will begin some time in 2010. Saints Row 2′s downloadable content pack Corporate Warfare hints that the game will possibly revolve around the protagonist’s hunt for character Dex Jackson in a city far from the familiar Stilwater setting of the first two games in series.
ive been waiting for saints row 3 ever since i beat saints row 2. i want it out this year in 2010 either in may or june all saints rows have been awesome but i dont know about saints row 3 so i want it out in may or june this year

1 – It will not be in Stilwater and there will be a different map
2- There Getting more options rather than just Gangster stuff

My Predictions are that it might come out in 2010 in November (Sr1 and 2 came out upon that month) and i got both for birthday gifts If not in 2010 then early 2011 they should release it by then and get there cash worth before other games fall into compition

I liked saints row 1 & 2 a lot.The Gang Styles from saints row 1 were

E3 2010: SAINTS ROW 3 SKIPS E3 TO “REBUILD TECH”.
Saints Row 3 has skipped this year’s E3 in order to spend another year “rebuilding the technology,” THQ’s revealed.
Speaking at an E3 analyst meeting last night, THQ core games VP, Danny Bilson revealed that the company’s set to show Saints Row 3 for the firs time at the Spike TV awards in December.
He said: “I’m not going to show it to you today. This is the only room we’re talking about Saints Row 3. We’re not showing it on the floor because the rollout starts in December on Saints Row 3.
“We’ve spent an extra year rebuilding the technology for this game. It is absolutely gorgeous and still completely insane.”
Bilson went on to reveal “the most robust transmedia play on any game ever done,” including plans to release a Saints Row movie.
“We’re also going to have a collectible card game, we’re going to have books, we’re going to have mechandise – we’re going to build this thing out into the biggest transmedia blowout ever seen,” he said at the meeting.
“Most of these deals are already in place. I believe we’re going to announce this at the Spike awards in December.
“It’s really, really exciting what’s going on with Saint’s Row and when we launch this it’s really going to turn heads to what we’ve done with this brand,” he said. “Saints Row is going to be a monster for us.”

Definitely have the Mafia & Yakuza. But it’d be cool to make different gangs, with different “gimmicks”. Indians, Scotsmen, rednecks, fags, bikers, clowns, midgets, a little bit of everything. Not every gang has to be badass.. it’d be neat to have some wimpy “gangs” that are pretyt much whipping boys (like a gang of Emo’s who run away from fights and cry). Don’t be afraid of humor. Make it FUN!!! That’s where I think GTA4 fell a little flat.. it didn’t have that same humor factor Vice City had.
Everyone keeps saying that SR3 is going to be set in a new city. Uhm how can you call it Saint Row and be no where near Saints Row? It would be amazing if they added a new city, across a bridge. Change Stillwater like they did for the second one but keep Saints Row.
A lot of the people getting up in arms here seem to be terrified of the mere notion of their games having the slightest trace of a sense of humor.
Cripes people, calm down. If it’s fun, it’s fun. If I still get to create the mayhem in SR3 that I can in SR2, I’m happy. There’s too many games that try to be serious, gritty, and realistic now – the sheer balls-to-the-wall insanity of some of the stuff in SR2 really broke up the monotony of the current state of game design.
